Each of our figurines from the enchanting Lumina universe unlocks a learning game with relevant content by placing the figurine on the start screen. Our specially designed triangular pen promotes the correct pen grip. With this, children can effortlessly navigate the app. The app is available for free on the App Store, Google Play Store, or Amazon App Store.

For what age is Lumina suitable?

Lumina is perfect for children aged 3-8 years. However, it varies based on individual children, especially when working on developing a proper pen grip. Even for older children who need pen grip practice, Lumina is an excellent choice. Lumina playfully introduces kids to school competencies, media literacy, and 21st-century skills.

Is the game safe for my child?

The app has been collaboratively developed with parents and U.S. educators, prioritizing children's safety in the digital Lumina world. There are no in-app purchases, and it's completely ad-free. The parents' area is secured with encrypted access, ensuring children can independently explore Lumina's exciting adventures with their animated buddies.

Is the internet required to use Lumina?

The internet is needed only once for downloading the app. Afterward, all content is available offline and is usable even in flight mode.

Why should my child learn digitally instead of with traditional books?

Can I buy Lumina figurines without the pen?

Absolutely, figurines are available individually. However, the starter set includes our signature pen to help children master the correct pen grip. All content is designed for seamless interaction between the tablet and pen.

Is the pen also suitable for left-handers?

Yes, the Lumina triangular input pen has been co-developed with occupational therapists and works wonderfully for both left and right-handed users.

My child is having some difficulties; what should I do?

That's okay. Preschool children's developmental stages and interests vary. Let your child engage with Lumina at their pace. All games can be revisited. Plus, the learning journey is tailored to your child's needs. Parents can monitor their child's progress in a dedicated parent section.

How do I set the screen time limit on Lumina?

Screen time is flexible to your needs. Simply tap on the home symbol in the app. From there, adjust the screen time to your desired duration. Whether it's for short breaks or long trips, the choice is yours.

Can I update my child's name and age on the Lumina app?

Absolutely. Adjustments can be made at any time by clicking on the home icon in the app. To modify the name, select the pencil icon next to your child's current name. Age adjustments are just as straightforward. If you prefer, pseudonyms are also acceptable. Providing the accurate age helps us curate a learning journey tailored for your child. Rest assured, safeguarding your child's data is our top priority.

Why isn't my game unlocking in Lumina?

To initiate games, always use the Lumina character. Grasp the figurine firmly, placing it onto the screen until the game activates. Ensure the figurine stands upright.
